Job summary

CPL Group in Dublin is seeking a senior leader to drive the Private Equity Fund Accounting function. You will lead managers, supervisors and accounting specialists, mentor staff, and manage client relationships while ensuring timely delivery of reporting and SLAs.

You will monitor KPIs/KRIs, drive efficiency projects, and engage with stakeholders to uphold high standards of accuracy and service for a blue-chip PE client base. The role emphasizes leadership, development and collaboration.

Qualifications

• You have 7+ years' experience in accounting operations or practice.
• You have 5+ years' experience in Private Equity (desirable).
• You are a strong team player with excellent communication and written skills.
• You have the ability to manage multiple deliverables and stakeholders simultaneously while prioritising work based on deadlines.
• You possess strong client relationship management skills.
• You have strong knowledge of the financial services industry, its products and practices, and a genuine interest in continued development and learning.
• You have proven Fund Accounting system experience and strong Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint skills.
• You hold a Finance or Accounting-related degree (2.1 or above desirable).

Responsibilities

• Lead a PE accounting team of managers, supervisors, and accounting specialists.
• Empower your team through regular engagement and leadership.
• Manage client relationships for your group of clients/funds.
• Coordinate, manage, and monitor client deliverables (SLAs) with your team and clients.
• Monitor KPIs and KRIs.
• Mentor your team as the SME on client structures and accounting processes.
• Ensure the team performs duties in line with processes and procedures.
• Review periodic accounting reporting packs prepared by your team.
• Engage in and drive efficiency projects.
• Participate in marketing and sales pitches, demonstrating workflows and technologies.
• Draft performance procedures and operational memoranda.
• Act as a liaison to various internal and external stakeholders.
