Job summary

FRS Recruitment is seeking an experienced Head of Engineering / Senior Projects Manager for a major multinational manufacturing site in Ireland. You will lead the engineering and project function, oversee CAPEX investment, site development and continuous improvement initiatives.

Reporting to the Site Director, you will manage the Engineering & Projects teams, deliver on-time, on-budget CAPEX projects and drive productivity, quality and sustainability across the site.

Qualifications

• 5+ years' senior engineering leadership and project management experience
• Strong track record delivering CAPEX projects on time and within budget
• Experience managing engineering teams and external contractors
• Excellent project, financial and stakeholder management skills
• Strong knowledge of automation, manufacturing and process technologies
• PMP, PRINCE2 or equivalent qualification desirable

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop the site Engineering & Projects teams
• Manage major CAPEX projects from concept through to commissioning
• Developing and delivering the site engineering and investment strategy
• Managing multiple projects, budgets, timelines, risks and resources
• Supporting site expansion, capacity increases and process optimisation
• Managing contractors, consultants, suppliers and engineering partners
• Driving engineering improvements in productivity, efficiency, quality and sustainability
• Providing technical leadership to manufacturing and site operations
• Reporting project performance and investment progress to senior leadership
