Job summary

Carton House, a Fairmont-managed luxury resort in Ireland, is seeking a Head Bartender to join The Carriage House F&B team. You will lead bar service, uphold service standards, and ensure guests receive memorable beverage experiences.

We value hotel-operational expertise, initiative, and excellent English communication. Previous 4/5-star hotel experience is desirable, with a structured, organized approach to work planning.

Qualifications

• Experience in 4/5-star hotel environments.
• Strong planning and organizational skills.
• Excellent spoken and written English.
• Ability to work independently.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests warmly and attend to them professionally.
• Represent Carton House's passion for customer service and ensure memorable experiences.
• Be familiar with the menu, specials, ingredients, beverages, and wine list.
• Upsell through sales and promotional activity.
• Ensure F&B products are served with presentation standards.
• Carry out cash handling procedures.

We are currently recruiting Head Bartender to join our excellent Food and Beverage team at The Carriage House at Carton House.

Key Requirements:

• A real understanding of hotel operation.
• Ability to work on own initiative.
• Excellent communication skills with excellent spoken & written English.
• Previous 4/5* hotel experience desirable.
• A structured and organized approach to work planning.

Key Responsibilities:

• Ensure that all guests are greeted in a warm and courteous fashion and tended to in a professional manner.
• Represent Carton House's passion for customer service, proactively ensuring each guest has the memorable experience expected at Carton House.
• To always be familiar with product offering (i.e. the menu, specials and ingredients, beverages on offer, wine list, etc)
• Familiarize yourself with sales and promotional activity and up sell at every possible opportunity.
• Ensure that all Food and Beverage products are served efficiently and in accordance with the Company standard of presentation.
• Carry out cash handling procedures in accordance with Company policy.
