Job summary

Killashee Hotel is seeking an Assistant Accommodation Manager to support the Accommodation Manager in daily housekeeping operations and to lead a team of housekeeping staff. The role requires excellent organisational skills, attention to detail, and a professional, guest-focused approach.

The successful candidate will manage rosters, ensure high standards, handle guest requests, and contribute to training and development while maintaining health, safety and administrative duties.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a hotel housekeeping or accommodation supervisory role.
• Strong organisational and time-management skills.
• Excellent attention to detail.
• The ability to lead and motivate a team.
• A positive, professional, and guest-focused approach.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• The ability to work well under pressure in a busy hotel environment.
• Flexibility to work weekends, bank holidays, and varying shifts as required.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Accommodation Manager with the day-to-day running of the Housekeeping Department.
• Supervise, support, and motivate housekeeping staff.
• Allocate daily duties and assist with staff rotas and scheduling.
• Carry out regular room and public-area inspections to ensure high standards are maintained.
• Ensure bedrooms are cleaned and prepared efficiently and on time.
• Monitor linen, amenities, cleaning products, and other department stock.
• Assist with ordering and stock control.
• Deal professionally with guest requests, queries, and complaints.
• Support the training and development of new and existing team members.
• Ensure all health, safety, hygiene, and hotel procedures are followed.
• Assist with maintaining housekeeping records and departmental administration.
• Provide support and cover for the Accommodation Manager when required.
