Job summary

The Ross Hotel in Killarney seeks a Polly's Food & Beverage Attendant to deliver exceptional service in our dining areas. You will greet guests, take orders, serve meals and beverages, and maintain clean, well-organized service spaces.

Responsibilities include upselling menu items, assisting bar and kitchen teams, handling payments, and ensuring health and safety standards are met. Flexible weekends/evenings/holidays and a welcoming team culture are offered.

Responsibilities

• Greet and welcome guests in a friendly and professional manner, ensuring they feel comfortable and attended to.
• Take food and beverage orders from guests, ensuring accuracy and offering recommendations as needed.
• Serve food and beverages promptly, following the hotel's service standards and presentation guidelines.
• Set up and maintain service areas, including tables, chairs, and any required equipment, always ensuring cleanliness and organization.
• Ensure that guests' needs are met throughout their meal, including checking on satisfaction and refilling drinks as necessary.
• Assist with clearing tables, removing dirty dishes, and resetting tables for new guests.
• Support the bar and kitchen teams by coordinating orders and ensuring that food and drinks are served in a timely manner.
• Handle cash, credit card, room charge, and gift card transactions accurately, processing bills and payments as required.
• Maintain a clean and organized working environment, including clearing empty bottles, dishes, and glassware.
• Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, including food safety standards and hygiene practices.
• Assist in setting up, serving, and clearing for special events or functions held at the hotel.
• Respond to guest inquiries, providing information about menu items, promotions, and hotel facilities.
• Report any guest concerns or feedback to the supervisor or manager to ensure guest satisfaction.
• Assist in maintaining inventory of food, beverages, and supplies, informing supervisors of low stock or needs for replenishment.
• Follow all hotel policies and procedures related to service standards, safety, and customer service.
• Support the Food & Beverage team in achieving department goals and improving service quality.
