Morgan McKinley is seeking a Group Financial Controller for a growing, private equity-backed business. Reporting to the CFO, this role leads group financial control, reporting and governance while shaping the finance function with process improvements and transformation.

The successful candidate will drive month-end close, statutory reporting and audits, oversee finance systems upgrades and automation, and mentor the finance team while partnering with senior stakeholders on board and investor

Qualifications

• Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent).
• Senior financial control or group finance experience.
• Strong technical accounting and group consolidation in multi-entity/multi-site environments.
• Private equity–backed business experience is advantageous.
• Experience leading finance transformation and systems projects.
• Solid financial controls, governance and statutory reporting.
• Experience managing and developing finance teams.
• Commercial, proactive and hands-on with strong stakeholder management.

Responsabilités

• Lead the Group's financial control and reporting, overseeing monthly management accounts, group consolidations and board reporting.
• Manage month-end and year-end close processes, statutory reporting and the annual audit.
• Maintain and enhance the Group's financial controls, accounting policies and governance framework.
• Drive finance transformation and process improvement initiatives, identifying opportunities to improve efficiency, reporting and scalability.
• Lead key systems projects, including finance system upgrades, new implementations and automation of manual processes.
• Review and streamline processes across payroll, accounts payable, accounts receivable and financial reporting.
• Partner with the CFO on board and investor reporting, providing accurate financial information and insight to support strategic decision-making.
• Support acquisition activity, financial integration and wider business growth initiatives.
• Lead and develop the Group finance team, working closely with senior stakeholders across the business.
