FK International - Financial Search and Selection is recruiting an ambitious Finance Controller to join a fast-growing healthcare group. The role leads a small team and supports the CFO in preparing monthly management accounts for multi-site operations, annual reports, budgeting, forecasting and risk management.

The ideal candidate is a qualified accountant with at least 3 years in a Financial Controller role, strong leadership, commercial acumen, and excellent communication skills.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years’ experience in a Financial Controller position, ideally in labour-intensive or multi-site settings.
• Strong leadership, commercial savvy and excellent communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop a small finance team.
• Prepare monthly management accounts for multi-site operations.
• Oversee annual report preparation and statutory reporting.
• Ensure tax compliance, payroll reconciliation, and BS recs.
• Lead budgeting & forecasting processes and financial modelling.
• Act as key contact with auditors and drive process improvements for automation.
• Finance lead on strategic projects including M&A and new sites.

Job description

Outstanding opportunity for an ambitious finance executive to join the finance team of a fast-growing Healthcare Group, as it embarks on an aggressive market expansion strategy.The business is well geared up for growth and development and the Group Financial Controller will play a lead role in supporting the CFO to support the next phase of growth. Role will involve:

• Leading and developing a small team
• Monthly management accounts preparation for multi-site business
• Annual report preparation
• Tax compliance, statutory reporting, payroll ad BS recs
• Budgeting & Forecasting
• Financial Modelling, developing plans for growth and managing risk
• Acting as key point of contact with the auditors
• Delivering new process improvements to allow for more automation
• Finance lead on new projects
• Ad-hoc project work will be broad, varied and ongoing as company expands, eg. M&A, greenfield site development, and further systems development

Hybrid work model - 3 days office, 2 home.

Candidate Background

Ideal candidate will have the following background:

• Qualified Accountant with high-energy levels and the ability to thrive in a high growth environment
• Excellent academic track record and a minimum of 3 years’ experience in a Financial Controller position, ideally within an environment where labour is a primary cost, eg, retail, healthcare services or hospitality
• Experience in a multi-site environment, SME
• Leadership skills and experience
• Commercial savvy with strong interpersonal and communication skills
