Job summary

Sigmar Recruitment is assisting a South Dublin-based company to appoint a Group Financial Controller who will report to the CFO and lead a small team. The role requires hands-on financial leadership across the group.

You will oversee monthly closes, group reporting, statutory statements, audits, budgeting, and provide clear analysis of performance against budget. Hybrid working with some office days is included.

Qualifications

• Qualified Accountant with extensive PQE as Financial Controller/Finance Manager.
• Insurance experience would be an advantage.
• Strong management experience.
• Strong cash management and forecasting experience.
• Advanced Excel skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead monthly, quarterly and annual group close and reporting.
• Prepare management accounts and group financial statements.
• Manage year-end audit and external auditor relationships.
• Support budgeting and forecasting processes.
• Provide variance analysis and performance insights.

About your new employer

My client, a well know company based in South Dublin are looking to recruit a new Group Financial Controller. This role will report directly to the CFO and manages a team of 3.

About your new job:

• Lead the monthly, quarterly and annual financial close for the Group.
• Ensure timely and accurate preparation of management accounts and Group financial reporting.

• Lead the preparation of annual statutory financial statements.
• Manage the year-end audit process and relationship with external auditors.

• Support the annual budgeting and forecasting process.
• Provide clear analysis of actual performance against budget and forecast.

What skills you need:

• Qualified Accountant with extensive PQE working as a Financial Controller / Finance Manager
• Insurance experience would be an advantage
• Strong management experience
• Strong Cash management and forecasting experience
• Advance Excel skills
