Job summary

SuperValu is seeking a Grocery Department Manager to ensure the store operates efficiently, delivers quality products and excellent customer service. The role requires managing staff, driving sales initiatives and maintaining top department standards.

You will lead daily operations, monitor stock, cost control and brand standards while collaborating with the store team to meet weekly profit and sales goals in a fast-paced retail environment in Ireland.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of management experience.
• Good knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word).
• Highly driven with a strong work ethic.
• Understanding of how to achieve KPIs and targets.

• Drive sales through in-store initiatives.
• Merchandise and present the department to the highest standard at all times and in accordance with relevant store planograms and guidelines.
• Adhere to weekly stocktaking and daily waste procedures in the Grocery Department.
• Liaise with the management team so as to ensure that weekly gross profit, net profit and sales targets are achieved.
• Conduct quality and freshness checks.
• Attend relevant training as required and implement learnings in store.
