Job summary

PHX Ireland is seeking a Grocery Key Account Manager to develop and maintain strong relationships with key grocery partners, driving revenue, margins and brand visibility.

You will create and implement sales strategies, negotiate JBPs and pricing, analyze market trends, and collaborate with marketing, supply chain and finance to deliver aligned initiatives across assigned accounts.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3+ years' experience in key account roles within FMCG, preferably grocery.
• Strong negotiation and communication skills.
• Commercial mindset with strong numerical and analytical abilities.
• Proficient in MS Office and CRM software.

Responsibilities

• Account Management: Develop and maintain strong relationships with key grocery partners, ensuring high levels of customer service and satisfaction.
• Sales Strategy: Create and implement effective sales strategies to achieve revenue and margin targets and grow market share within assigned accounts.
• Market Analysis: Analyse market trends, competitor activity, and customer insights to identify opportunities for growth and improvement.
• Negotiation: Negotiate annual JBPs, pricing, and promotional agreements with key accounts to maximise profitability and enhance brand visibility.
• Collaboration: Work closely with crossfunctional teams, including marketing, supply chain, sales and finance, to ensure alignment and support for account initiatives.
• Reporting: Monitor and report on sales performance, market conditions, and account developments to senior management.
• NPD Opportunities: Identify & secure new business opportunities either through NPD listings/distribution gains or new category expansion.
• Management: Manage & direct 3rd party field sales team to ensure all commercial & brand targets are achieved.
