Dawn Meats Kilbeggan is seeking a Trainee Accountant to join the Kilbeggan Finance team. The successful candidate will follow our accounting training programme to qualification and become integral to the business.

This role offers hands-on experience across finance, operations and business functions, with coaching and mentoring and potential secondment opportunities.

Qualifications

• A level 7 qualification in Accounting and Finance or similar.
• Ambition to study towards professional accounting qualification.
• Ability to work independently and in a team.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Strong academic record and analytical abilities.

Responsibilities

• Prepare weekly management accounts and manufacturing-based analysis.
• Prepare monthly financial accounts including capital, costs and returns.
• Provide analysis and decision support to commercial and operations teams.
• Assist in preparing reports for the management team.
• Contribute to continuous improvement and efficiency of site Finance function.
• Support Financial Controller with reporting and adhoc queries.

Role Summary:Dawn Meats Group is one of Europe's leading beef and lamb processing companies with locations across Ireland, UK, and continental Europe employing over 8,000 employees. We are currently seeking to recruit a Trainee Accountant to join our Kilbeggan Finance team.

The successful candidates will follow our accounting training programme to qualification and become integral to our business. As part of the Finance team, you will gain a wide range of finance, operations and business experience and skills through continuous on the job development with coaching and mentoring. The role may include internal secondment opportunities.

Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be based at our Kilbegganproduction facility and will have the following responsibilities:

• Involvement in a wide variety of projects/tasks within the site Finance department.
• Preparing and completing weekly management accounts and manufacturing based analysis.
• Prepare monthly financial accounts including areas such as capital, costs and returns.
• Providing analysis and decision support to the commercial and operations teams.
• Assisting in the preparation of reports for the management team.
• Contribute to the continuous improvement and efficiency of the site Finance function.
• Support the Financial Controller as required on reporting and adhoc queries, including specific project assignments.

Qualifications
