National Vehicle Distribution in Ireland seeks a Graduate Product Engineer to join our expanding team. We design, manufacture and supply vehicle solutions, including converting vehicles and bespoke ply lining for vans.

You will play a key role in ERP implementation, data preparation, and product design using Inventor, with a focus on manufacturing feasibility and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Degree in Engineering.
• Experience in product engineering within vehicle bodybuilding or manufacturing desirable.

Responsibilities

• Work with management on the implementation and integration of a new ERP system.
• Prepare base data for the roll out of the business.
• Test this base data.
• Support the evolution of the system to suit business needs.
• Rollout of the system in the workshop with all employees.
• Design new products and get ready for market in line with NVD's product introduction process.
• Design using Inventor.
• Design review.
• Design for manufacturing.
• Prototyping.
• Gather customer feedback.
• Serial production readiness.
• Assist with continuous improvement projects in improving the manufacturing of new and existing products.
• Assist in ISO 9001 compliance within the organisation.
• Assist in procurement with range of suppliers.
• Engagement with operations department in the manufacture and installation of group products and supporting where required with technical know how, drawings etc.
