Job summary

Boston Scientific is seeking a motivated Manufacturing Graduate Engineer to join our Cork team on a permanent basis. You’ll learn from experienced colleagues, support operations, NPD or Sustaining Engineering, and contribute to improved products and processes in a collaborative environment.

You’ll apply Six Sigma, Lean, and validation concepts to ensure quality and regulatory compliance while developing hands-on manufacturing and product development experience.

Qualifications

• Hons Bachelor Degree (Level 8) in engineering or science is essential.
• Graduated within the past two years or currently in the final year of university.
• Eligibility to work in Ireland.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills, with the initiative to contribute in a collaborative environment.
• Strong systems aptitude and an interest in developing technical skills.
• Enthusiastic, proactive approach to learning and problem-solving.
• Interest in medical technology, manufacturing, product development or continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

• Build quality into all aspects of your work by maintaining compliance with all quality requirements.
• Assist in defining and implementing quality standards and specifications and help ensure corporate and regulatory requirements are met.
• Identify and resolve moderately complex exceptions to work assignments.
• Participate, as required, in new product and technology transfers to gain valuable experience and exposure.
• Apply knowledge of Six Sigma, statistical analysis and Lean principles to investigate and solve problems and improve quality.
• Demonstrate familiarity with validation techniques and associated regulatory requirements, including the analysis of customer feedback and complaints.
• Understand and proactively support environmental management requirements.
• Collaborate effectively with cross-functional team members to support day-to-day operating requirements.
• Demonstrate best practices aligned with department and site objectives.
