Qualifications

• Honours Bachelor Degree (Level 8) in engineering or science is required.
• Graduated in the past two years or in final year.
• Eligibility to work in Ireland.

Boston Scientific is seeking a highly motivated Quality Graduate Engineer on a permanent basis to join our Cork team .

Job Purpose:

As a Graduate Engineer at Boston Scientific, you will have the opportunity to learn from experienced colleagues, contribute to innovative medical technologies and build hands-on experience in a collaborative environment.

Depending on your area of assignment, you may support Operations, New Product Development or Sustaining Engineering. In Operations, you will help support products, processes, materials and equipment to achieve production goals across quality, delivery, cost, productivity and safety. Within New Product Development and Sustaining Engineering, you will contribute to the development and advancement of product design deliverables for next generation and commercialized products.

Key Responsibilities:

• Build quality into all aspects of your work by maintaining compliance with all quality requirements.
• Assist in defining and implementing quality standards and specifications and help ensure corporate and regulatory requirements are met.
• Identify and resolve moderately complex exceptions to work assignments.
• Participate, as required, in new product and technology transfers to gain valuable experience and exposure.
• Apply knowledge of Six Sigma, statistical analysis and Lean principles to investigate and solve problems and improve quality.
• Demonstrate familiarity with validation techniques and associated regulatory requirements, including the analysis of customer feedback and complaints.
• Understand and proactively support environmental management requirements.
• Collaborate effectively with cross-functional team members to support day-to-day operating requirements.
• Demonstrate best practices aligned with department and site objectives.

Education & Experience:

• Hons Bachelor Degree (Level 8) in engineering or science is essential.
• Graduated within the past two years or currently in the final year of university.
• Relevant work experience or completion of a co-op program.
• Eligibility to work in Ireland.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills, with the initiative to contribute in a collaborative environment.
• Strong systems aptitude and an interest in developing technical skills.
• Enthusiastic, proactive approach to learning and problem-solving.
• Interest in medical technology, manufacturing, product development or continuous improvement.
