Job summary

ORS is seeking a highly motivated graduate civil and structural engineer to join our expanding team in the West of Ireland, with Galway/Castlebar as a local base. You will assist in delivering high-quality designs for civil and structural projects in line with ISO 9001 procedures.

The role requires ambitious mindset, problem-solving skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. You will work within ORS’s multidisciplinary team and contribute to a regional project portfolio.

Qualifications

• Level 8 qualification in Civil or Structural Engineering is required.
• Master's degree is beneficial but not essential.
• Experience across a range of projects is advantageous.
• Strong working knowledge of Irish Building Regulations is essential.
• Proficient with AutoCAD/Revit and capable of preparing detailed designs to high standards.
• Knowledge of Concrete/Steel/Masonry/Timber Eurocodes is required.

Responsibilities

• Assist in planning, design, and execution of civil and structural projects.
• Prepare detailed designs, drawings, and specifications using AutoCAD and Civil 3D.
• Perform engineering calculations and analyses to support designs and ensure code compliance.
• Collaborate with senior engineers and managers for project delivery.
• Communicate with clients, contractors, and stakeholders to clarify needs.
• Revise drawings to accommodate changes and improvements.
• Prepare technical reports and project documentation.
• Maintain accurate project records and documentation.
• Coordinate with design teams and site staff as needed.
• Conduct site visits to gather data and assess requirements.
