Job summary

DRA Consulting Engineers in Limerick invites graduates to join a growing multidisciplinary team. You’ll gain hands-on civil and structural design experience on residential, commercial, educational and infrastructure projects across Ireland. Mentoring and professional support will accelerate progress toward Chartered Engineer status.

Work alongside experienced engineers, develop technical and project management skills, and use Revit, AutoCAD and CADS RC on real projects from day one.

Qualifications

• Honours degree in Civil or Structural Engineering required.
• Strong communication and organisational skills.
• Ambition to progress toward Chartered Engineer status.
• Experience with Revit or BIM software.

Responsibilities

• Assist with civil and structural engineering design on projects in Ireland.
• Produce engineering drawings using Revit and AutoCAD.
• Support project engineers and senior engineers in project delivery.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and clients.
• Develop practical design solutions and calculations.
• Participate in project meetings and technical discussions.

About the Role

As a Graduate Civil & Structural Design Engineer, you'll work alongside experienced engineers on exciting projects across Ireland while building valuable technical and project management skills.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Assisting with civil and structural engineering design
• Producing engineering drawings using Revit and AutoCAD
• Supporting project engineers and senior engineers in project delivery
• Working with design and modelling software including Revit, AutoCAD and CADS RC
• Assisting with project administration and coordination
• Collaborating with clients, architects and multidisciplinary design teams
• Developing practical design solutions and engineering calculations
• Contributing to project meetings and technical discussions

What We're Looking For

• Honours Degree in Civil Engineering or Structural Engineering
• Strong interest in civil and structural design
• Strong communication and organisational skills
• Excellent problem-solving ability
• Ambition to progress towards Chartered Engineer status
• Self-motivated with a proactive attitude
• Team player with a flexible and positive approach
• Experience with Revit or BIM software
• Familiarity with structural or civil design software
• Membership (or willingness to join) Engineers Ireland or the Institution of Structural Engineers
• Internship or placement experience within engineering consultancy
