Job summary

DRA Consulting Engineers in Ireland is seeking a Project Civil & Structural Engineer to join the Wexford team, delivering residential, commercial, educational and infrastructure projects while developing both technical and project management skills.

You will work directly with senior engineers, gain hands-on experience across design and client engagement, and benefit from a structured mentoring path toward Chartered Engineer status.

Qualifications

  • Honours degree in Civil or Structural Engineering.
  • 2+ years' experience in consulting engineering.
  • Experience using Revit and AutoCAD.
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills.
  • Ambition to achieve Chartered Engineer status.
  • Membership of Engineers Ireland or the Institution of Structural Engineers.
  • Experience with Robot, Tedds, Causeway or similar design software.
  • Project coordination or project management experience.
  • Mentoring junior engineers or technicians.

Responsibilities

  • Civil and structural design across a range of projects.
  • Project management and coordination from concept to delivery.
  • Preparing engineering drawings using Revit and AutoCAD.
  • Using design software including Robot, Tedds and Causeway.
  • Collaborating with clients, architects, contractors and multidisciplinary design teams.
  • Managing project documentation and administration.
  • Supporting and mentoring graduate engineers and technicians.
  • Developing practical, efficient and innovative design solutions.

DRA Consulting Engineers is a growing multidisciplinary consultancy with offices in Dublin, Limerick and Wexford. Due to continued expansion, we're looking for a Project Civil & Structural Engineer to join our Wexford team and play a key role in the delivery of exciting projects across Ireland.

Working directly with Associate Director and Chartered Engineer Brian Healy, you'll gain hands-on experience across design, project management and client engagement while receiving dedicated mentorship to help you achieve Chartered Engineer status.

About the Role

As a Project Civil & Structural Engineer, you'll work on a wide range of residential, commercial, educational, conservation and infrastructure projects while developing both your technical and project management expertise.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Civil and structural engineering design across a variety of projects
  • Project management and coordination from concept through delivery
  • Preparing engineering drawings using Revit and AutoCAD
  • Using design software including Robot, Tedds and Causeway
  • Collaborating with clients, architects, contractors and multidisciplinary design teams
  • Managing project documentation and administration
  • Supporting and mentoring graduate engineers and technicians
  • Developing practical, efficient and innovative design solutions
What We're Looking For
  • Honours Degree in Civil Engineering or Structural Engineering
  • 2+ years' experience in consulting engineering
  • Strong knowledge of civil and structural engineering principles
  • Experience using Revit and AutoCAD
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities
  • Ambition to achieve Chartered Engineer status
  • Membership of Engineers Ireland or the Institution of Structural Engineers
  • Experience with Robot, Tedds, Causeway or similar design software
  • Project coordination or project management experience
  • Previous experience mentoring junior engineers or technicians
