Dell Technologies in Cork is seeking a Graduate Automation Engineer to join the Cork Manufacturing Operations. You will work with cross-functional teams to develop, support, and optimize automation solutions, gaining hands-on experience with industrial systems, robotics, controls, and digital manufacturing technologies.

The role focuses on New Product Introduction and steady-state manufacturing, offering diverse learning opportunities, exposure to PLCs, and a pathway into advanced manufacturing

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Automation Engineering or related engineering field.
• Understanding of PLC programming on Siemens and/or Allen-Bradley platforms.
• Familiarity with robotics and automated manufacturing equipment.
• Programming experience in Python, C#, Java, SQL or similar languages.
• Understanding of industrial communication protocols: Ethernet/IP, Modbus, Profinet, OPC-UA.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; good troubleshooting and communication.”

Responsabilités

• Support development, implementation and continuous improvement of automated manufacturing systems.
• Assist in programming, troubleshooting, and optimization of PLC-controlled equipment.
• Assist in integration and commissioning of robotics and automated manufacturing equipment.
• Develop and maintain software tools, scripts and applications to improve efficiency and data visibility.
• Troubleshoot automation, controls and communications issues across manufacturing systems.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams for New Product Introduction and manufacturing readiness.
