Job summary

Dell Technologies in Ireland invites applications for a Graduate Automation Engineer to join the Cork Manufacturing Operations team. You will work with cross-functional teams to develop, support, and optimize automated manufacturing solutions, including PLCs, robotics, and data-driven tools.

You will gain hands-on experience with industrial automation, NPI support, and continuous improvement initiatives, while leveraging Python, C#, Java, and SQL to improve efficiency and visibility.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Automation Engineering, Electrical/Electronic/Mechanical or related field.
• Knowledge of PLC programming with Siemens and/or Allen-Bradley platforms.
• Familiarity with robotics and automated manufacturing equipment.
• Programming experience in Python, C#, Java, SQL or similar languages.

Responsibilities

• Support development, implementation, and continuous improvement of automated manufacturing systems.
• Assist in programming, troubleshooting, and optimization of PLC-controlled equipment.
• Assist with integration and commissioning of robotics and automated equipment.
• Develop and maintain software tools to improve manufacturing efficiency and data visibility.
• Troubleshoot automation, controls, and communications issues across manufacturing systems.
• Support New Product Introduction activities and manufacturing readiness.
