Job summary

Sanofi Waterford is seeking an Automation Engineer to support and advance automated manufacturing capabilities across multiple operations in a GMP setting. You will manage operational automation, capital projects, and CSV/GAMP5 validated systems.

The role spans PLC, SCADA, MES interfaces, and IIoT initiatives within a global biopharma framework. Working in a Waterford site team, you will ensure data integrity, system reliability, and regulatory compliance while contributing to Sanofi's Digital

Qualifications

Hands-on automation engineering experience in GMP-regulated pharma manufacturing.
Experience programming/commissioning Siemens S7/TIA Portal.
Proficiency with SCADA platforms: Wonderware, iFix, or Zenon.
Familiar with OSIsoft PI Historian and Ignition platforms.
Understanding of CSV and GAMP5 in validation contexts.

Responsibilities

Provide day-to-day automation support across PFS, LYO, Filling and Packaging.
Lead and participate in automation capital projects from concept to commissioning.
Develop and maintain validation documentation per GOP and GMP procedures.
Support MES integration and data analytics for continuous improvement.
Maintain OT network security and Windows Server environments.
