Job summary

CG Controls Ltd. seeks an Automation Engineer in Ireland to own Siemens Desigo CC and PLC-based utilities systems within a GMP-regulated environment. The role focuses on uptime, compliance, and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities include troubleshooting, validating systems, updating design documents, and integrating new technologies. The candidate will analyze PI System data to drive reliability and performance in a busy manufacturing setting.

Qualifications

Degree in Mechatronic, Automation, or Control Engineering or life sciences.
5+ years in operations/manufacturing environment.
Experience with validation and lifecycle maintenance is advantageous.

Responsibilities

Act as the system owner for utilities automation systems.
Lead troubleshooting and investigations of utilities automation systems.
Drive improvements from CAPA, including software updates and design document updates.
Review system designs and suggest improvements using latest technologies and standards.
Assist introducing new products or technologies via engineering assessments and test runs.
Support System Owner in day-to-day activities and in project delivery.
Analyze trends and historian data to identify reliability and performance improvements.
Work with TCP/IP networks and Firewalls; ensure compliance in a GMP setting.
