Expeditors in Dublin is seeking a Manager – Global Technology to lead a diverse engineering team. You will stay close to design, code quality, testing, automation, and production support while balancing new functionality with technical debt and operational needs.

The role emphasizes hands-on technical leadership, mentorship, and collaboration with product managers and stakeholders to align priorities and deliver high-quality software in an agile environment.

Qualifications

• Strong professional software development background with hands-on programming and code review ability.
• Experience leading, coaching, or formally managing engineers in software delivery.
• Ability to manage a diverse team and build an inclusive, high-trust culture.
• Practical understanding of software design, testing, CI/CD, and production reliability.
• Experience planning and delivering work using agile practices and backlog management.
• Strong communication skills to explain technical decisions to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Customer-service mindset and ownership to move progress in ambiguous situations.

Responsibilities

• Lead, coach, and develop engineers through regular 1:1s and career conversations.
• Build an inclusive, high-trust team environment focused on support and performance.
• Support growth, retention, and knowledge sharing by building the right talent mix.
• Take accountability for team commitments and deliver high-quality work with business value.
• Support planning, estimation, and delivery using pragmatic agile practices.
• Remove blockers, manage workload, and sustain delivery pace without compromising retention.
• Collaborate with Technical Product Managers and stakeholders to keep backlogs clear and ready for execution.
• Contribute to code and participate in design reviews and code reviews.
• Reinforce engineering standards across automation, testing, and documentation.
