Job summary

Creo Recruitment is partnering with a venture-backed technology company to hire a hands-on Head of Engineering in Ireland. You’ll own technical direction, architecture and delivery while leading a small team and remaining closely involved in code and system design.

You’ll work with founders to set priorities, improve team delivery, and scale the platform for growth. Hybrid Dublin-based role with share options and substantial influence over technology decisions.

Qualifications

• Leadership experience leading software teams.
• Strong architecture and system-design capabilities.
• Willingness to contribute hands-on to coding and delivery.
• Experience with AI-assisted software development is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop a small engineering team.
• Set technical direction and translate business priorities into an engineering roadmap.
• Stay hands-on with architecture, system design, and delivery.
• Improve processes and scale the platform for growth.
• Communicate decisions and risks to non-technical stakeholders.
• Support recruitment and shape the engineering organisation as it grows.
