Job summary

CAI is seeking a Senior Global Director, Tax and Audit to lead the global tax strategy and audit governance as the business expands from 11 countries to 20+.

You will manage external advisors and audit partners, coordinate cross-border compliance, and work with Finance, HR, Legal, and IT to ensure timely, accurate reporting.

The role requires 10+ years in multinational tax and audit, credentials such as CPA/JD/ACCA, and a proven track record in acquisitions and complex tax planning.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Tax, Finance, Business, or related field; required.
• CPA, JD, LLM in Tax, Chartered Tax Advisor, ACA, ACCA, or equivalent strongly preferred.
• 10+ years of progressive tax, audit, controllership, statutory reporting, or financial compliance experience in a multinational setting.
• Prior experience supporting acquisition integration and multi-country external auditor coordination is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop and lead global tax strategy, including income tax, transfer pricing, VAT/GST and other indirect taxes.
• Establish and maintain a coordinated global tax compliance calendar.
• Manage global tax advisors, audit partners, statutory audit firms, and local providers.
• Partner with Accounting and FP&A to support tax provision, cash tax forecasting, and tax accounting.
• Own the global audit governance model and annual consolidated audits.
• Coordinate statutory audits across required countries with local teams.
• Maintain a global audit and compliance calendar for planning and year-end activities.
• Drive audit readiness with reconciliations, tie-outs, and supporting documentation.
• Oversee U.S. benefit plan audits with HR and external auditors.
• Track audit findings and remediation across Finance leadership.
• Lead tax workstreams for acquisitions and Day 1 compliance readiness.
• Design and monitor internal controls over financial reporting.
• Design and defend global transfer pricing policies and intercompany arrangements.
• Advise on tax implications of new country entry and contracts.
• Build tax controls, documentation standards, and governance processes.
