This role is fully remote, but candidates must be based in the Republic of Ireland.
A Demand Planning Analyst is required for our client based in Galway. The role will assist with demand reviews, forecasting, data analysis, system maintenance and continuous improvement across supply chain planning processes. The successful candidate will work with demand planning and cross-functional teams to help maintain accurate forecasts, identify supply chain risks and support alignment between demand, supply and operational plans.
Responsibilities
- Support the preparation and review of demand forecasts using historical data, customer requirements and business information.
- Assist with regular demand reviews and provide relevant data and analysis to planning teams.
- Monitor forecast accuracy and investigate significant variances.
- Maintain forecast profiles, planning parameters and relevant system data.
- Review system-generated forecasts and flag exceptions requiring further investigation.
- Produce reports and analyses to support demand and supply planning decisions.
- Work with supply chain, sales, marketing, finance and operations teams to gather and validate planning information.
- Support the alignment of demand plans with supply planning and operational requirements.
- Assist with process improvements across demand planning and reporting activities.
- Support the use and maintenance of SAP and other planning systems.
- Prepare dashboards, reports and presentations for demand reviews.
- Participate in cross-functional problem-solving and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Document planning processes and support the preparation of guidance or training materials.
- Ensure work is completed in accordance with the applicable quality management system and company procedures.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Engineering, Business, Finance or a related discipline.
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in demand planning, supply planning, production planning, materials planning or a related supply chain role.
- Practical experience working with forecasts, demand data, inventory or supply chain planning processes.
- Experience using SAP, an ERP system or a recognised planning tool.
- Strong data analysis and reporting skills.
- Proficiency in Excel, including pivot tables, lookups and data analysis.
