Job summary

embecta is seeking a Senior Product Engineer to support global product lifecycle engineering for its diabetes portfolio. You will work with product development, regulatory, marketing, operations, and manufacturing to ensure successful product design, verification, and market support.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Science and 5+ years in medical device design or R&D, with expertise in GD&T, 3D CAD modeling, polymer science, and statistical methods.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Science, preferably Mechanical, Biomedical, or Chemical Engineering.
• 5+ years’ experience in medical device design or R&D with a successful track record of delivering products to market.
• Project Management qualification an advantage.
• Experience with polymer material science and injection moulding processes.
• Design verification GD&T and 3D CAD modeling.

Responsibilities

• Plan and execute product lifecycle engineering R&D projects impacting form/fit/function, growth, cost, and compliance.
• Lead engineering projects through change control processes and communicate updates to stakeholders.
• Ensure compliance with local and international quality and safety regulations and procedures.
• Collaborate with manufacturing plants to assist in problem solving and issue resolution.
• Maintain robust design history files and conduct competitive product analysis and device compatibility testing.
• Design test equipment and validated test procedures to demonstrate compliance with ISO standards.
