Job summary

Solas IT Recruitment is actively recruiting for a Senior Golang Platform Engineer on a contract basis in Dublin with hybrid work (3 days on-site). The role is an initial 8-month contract with strong potential to extend, and involves building scalable platform services and distributed systems.

You will work across Linux, networking and automation, contributing to architecture choices and engineering standards on large-scale platforms.

Qualifications

6+ years' software/platform engineering experience with Linux and networking.
Strong Golang development background for scalable platforms.
Infrastructure automation using Ansible and related tooling.
Knowledge of networking and high-availability concepts.
Experience with distributed systems and software architecture.

Responsibilities

Design and develop highly available platform services using Golang.
Work across Linux, networking and infrastructure automation.
Contribute to the architecture and evolution of large-scale distributed platforms.
Design systems with scalability, resilience, security and reliability in mind.
Work closely with Software Engineering, Product, Network and Application teams.
Participate in technical design reviews and architectural decision-making.
Evaluate new technologies and develop proof-of-concepts where appropriate.
Help define technical standards and engineering best practices across the platform.
