Job summary

Mastercard is seeking a Platform Architect 2 within Infrastructure Design Engineering in Ireland. The role focuses on analyzing and designing infrastructure to align with security, scalability and availability standards across Mastercard’s global platform.

You will generate requirements with application teams and stakeholders, produce TADs and technical documents, and ensure architectural products remain up-to-date. Strong knowledge of DNS, middleware, and cloud deployments is essential.

Qualifications

• Extensive knowledge of network, OS, and web middleware.
• Core functions related to internet infrastructure design and/or web administration.
• Experience with load balancers and web application firewalls.
• Knowledge of cloud technologies and DB concepts.

Responsibilities

• Generate requirements with architects, engineers and users to meet high-level requirements.
• Produce architectural documents, flows and models to keep stakeholders aligned.
• Maintain architectural artifacts in current state and prevent obsolescence.
• Resolve internet architecture and operational issues affecting availability and performance globally.
• Research and evaluate new technologies for Mastercard infrastructure.
• Lead regional projects including planning, scheduling and resources.
