eTeam is seeking an EMEA Payroll Specialist to join the payroll team in Dublin for an 11‑month contract. You will process payroll monthly and ad hoc using Workday, coordinate with external providers, and ensure compliance and accurate documentation.

The role requires 3+ years of multinational payroll experience, strong knowledge of payroll compliance, and excellent communication skills to support audits and inquiries. Proficiency in Excel is essential.

Responsibilities

Overview:


  • Client is looking for an EMEA Payroll Specialist to join the payroll team in Dublin.

Key Responsibilities:

Payroll Processing & Compliance



  • Process monthly, and ad-hoc payroll with accuracy and efficiency using Workday for HRIS and external payroll service providers.

  • Collaborate with collaborators, customers, partners, and team members for accurate payroll processing.

  • Complete payment processing for employee and statutory payments. Handle reconciliation for scenarios like rejected or refunded bank transactions.

  • Ensure proper payroll documentation is maintained for each step of the process.

  • Support internal and external audits, including SOX controls, by preparing necessary payroll documentation in a timely manner.

  • Experience with payroll automation and integrations.


Employee Support & Issue Resolution



  • Provide excellent customer service by responding to employee payroll inquiries via ServiceNow within SLA timelines.

  • Develop and maintain knowledge articles to offer ongoing proactive support on payroll-related subjects, empowering employees and internal collaborators with easily accessible self-service information.


Process Improvement & Reporting



  • Continuously find opportunities for process improvements and automation to enhance payroll efficiency, while proactively addressing issues and proposing solutions as needed.

  • Support the team in driving payroll-related projects and new system implementations.

  • Support the development, reporting, and review of metrics to drive performance.

  • Assist the supervisor/manager in capturing and addressing issues, policies, and procedures from government agencies, payroll functions, and operating companies.


Teamwork and Individual Development



  • Keep open communication with the supervisor/manager, team members, and collaborators about task or project status, while finding opportunities to improve service levels or processes.

  • Address any concerns promptly to guarantee the delivery of high-quality service.

  • Actively participate in and support departmental initiatives, seeking feedback and embracing opportunities for continuous learning to improve knowledge, skills, and experience.

  • Monitor results to drive effectiveness and efficiency.

  • Support assigned countries by learning payroll processes and processing payroll when necessary for continuity and accuracy.

  • Proactively design a self-development plan and work with the manager to track progress through regular catch-ups, adjusting the plan as needed and celebrating achievements along the way.


Qualifications & Skills:

Required:


  • 3+ years of multi-national payroll experience in a multi-national company.

  • Strong understanding of multi-national payroll compliances and their impact on financial and statutory reporting.

  • Excellent time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and effectively manage high-pressure environments.

  • High attention to accuracy, confidentiality, and compliance in handling sensitive payroll data.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a proactive, dedicated approach.

  • Proven ability to excel in a team-oriented environment, demonstrating strong customer service and collaboration skills.

  • Experienced in navigating conflict and working toward successful resolutions.

  • Skilled at working well with team members and collaborators, sharing ideas, finding opportunities, and achieving positive results.

  • Skilled at building strong, collaborative relationships with both internal teams and external payroll service providers.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, and data analysis).


Preferred:


  • Experience working with UKG/IIPay, ServiceNow and Workday HR (or similar HRIS and payroll systems).

  • Knowledge of equity transactions in payroll (ESPP, RSUs, Stock Options).

  • Proficiency in multiple languages is a plus.
