activpayroll Ltd. seeks a Senior Payroll Administrator in Dublin, Ireland, to manage end-to-end Irish payroll cycles for a varied client base. You will ensure timely declarations to Revenue, guide clients on tax and social contributions, and deliver a best-in-class service.

The role supports the Payroll Delivery Manager and shares knowledge across the team. The ideal candidate has IPASS certification, at least five years of Irish payroll processing experience, and hands-on experience with

Description

Our payroll operations are at the heart of our business, managing a portfolio of customers and ensuring the delivery of the end-to-end payroll service consistently, accurately and on time.
We are looking for a Senior Payroll Administrator who will work with their customer base to manage their payroll from the beginning of the payroll cycle right through to Revenue declarations, advising and guiding customers through the cycle on tax and social declarations and providing a best in class customer experience.
Supporting the Payroll Delivery Manager, the Senior Payroll Administrator will act as a senior member of the payroll team, supporting and sharing knowledge with the rest of the team to support the consistent and accurate delivery of our customers payrolls.


On a typical day you'll be…


  • Acting as the focal point for a varied portfolio of payroll clients with minimal supervision, delivering consistently fantastic customer service

  • Processing & reviewing end-to-end Irish payrolls of various headcount and high complexity in accordance with agreed timelines

  • Hosting and chairing regular governance calls with clients to track progress, review performance and identify opportunities for improvement

  • Ensuring that payroll manuals are relevant and updated regularly to reflect current processes & legislation.

  • Preparing payroll calendars and checklists, ensuring that checking sheets are completed for every payroll processed

  • Answering & resolving complex queries from clients, partners and colleagues

  • Preparing and uploading ROS submissions and dealing with Clients Revenue queries on their behalf.

  • Preparing, uploading MFF submissions to NAERSA and responding to clients queries on the autoenrollment matters.

  • Delivering excellent customer service, responding quickly and effectively to all queries and ensuring that issues are resolved either directly or through the right escalation channels

  • Making sure that customers are fully updated and never in any doubt as to how their service is being managed

  • Making sure that any risks to service delivery are communicated quickly and realistically to the client and to the appropriate managers and being innovative and agile in bringing solutions or mitigations to the table.

  • Being honest and authentic in communicating both positive and difficult conversations

  • Being a brilliant team player, supporting colleagues with technical and legislative knowledgeacross the team to ensure that customer service delivery is consistent across the department, providing help and guidance and ensuring no one is left behind


To be truly effective you will…


  • IPASS certified with at least 5 years of proven experience in Irish payroll processing, ideally in a busy bureau environment (if you have experience with Megapay- that would be a fantastic asset)

  • Great team player with the ability to work under pressure and coordinate multiple payrolls

  • Exceptional attention to detail and driven by accuracy and quality with the ability to spot errors or notice when things “just don’t look right” - and motivated to follow these through to resolution

  • Great customer service skills, able to build solid working relationship with our clients

  • Being able to take ownership of challenging tasks

  • Being action-oriented, willing to step up and be counted under pressure and seize opportunities to make things work better for both customers and colleagues

  • Really good with databases, systems and software packages, especially Microsoft Excel
