Optum Ireland invites an experienced leader to drive the exploratory ideation program within Payment Integrity. You will manage a globally distributed team, identify new medical cost savings opportunities, and oversee the end‑to‑end pipeline from ideation to validated savings.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience required.
8+ years of experience leading operational teams within healthcare, Payment Integrity, or a related function.
Deep knowledge of the U.S. healthcare industry, including claims lifecycle and Payment Integrity operations.
Proven success in managing globally distributed or matrixed teams.
Ability to translate strategy into structured processes and measurable outcomes.

Responsibilities

Lead a global exploratory ideation team focused on identifying new medical cost savings opportunities.
Drive identification and advancement of savings opportunities across the Payment Integrity product suite.
Own delivery against assigned medical cost savings targets and ensure pipeline realization.
Oversee ideation intake, prioritization, and tracking with clear visibility into progress and outcomes.
Collaborate with Product, Operations, and solution teams to deploy new concepts into production.
Establish governance to ensure consistency, scalability, and accountability across initiatives.
Coordinate financial reporting for exploratory ideation and consolidate inputs for leadership.
Monitor savings, concept conversion, and productivity metrics; support forecasting and reconciliation.
