Job summary

Optum Ireland is seeking a senior leader to drive the exploratory ideation for Payment Integrity, overseeing a globally distributed team and delivering medical cost savings aligned to enterprise priorities.

You will own pipeline governance, partner with Product, Operations, and Enablement, and oversee financial reporting and forecasting to senior leadership. This role requires 8+ years in healthcare operations, strong leadership, and proven ability to scale teams in fast-paced environments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
• 8+ years leading operational teams in healthcare or Payment Integrity.
• Deep knowledge of U.S. healthcare and claims lifecycle.
• Experience managing globally distributed or matrixed teams.
• Ability to translate strategy into measurable outcomes.
• Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management.

Responsibilities

• Lead a global team focused on exploratory ideation and delivery of savings.
• Drive identification and advancement of new medical cost savings opportunities.
• Own delivery against medical cost savings targets and pipeline outcomes.
• Oversee ideation intake, prioritization, and tracking with clear visibility.
• Partner with Product, Operations, and solution teams to deploy concepts.
• Establish governance for scalable exploratory initiatives.
• Coordinate financial reporting for exploratory initiatives to leadership.
• Monitor savings, conversion, and productivity metrics; support forecasting.
