Job summary

Jobgether on behalf of a partner company is seeking an Incident Operations Lead in Ireland to build and lead the function that manages the organization’s most critical incidents across a global tech environment.

You will establish the operating model, severity framework, escalation paths, and 24x7 follow-the-sun coverage, leading a distributed team of Incident Commanders and driving reliability improvements through process, metrics, and AI-powered automation.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in production engineering, SRE, or related technical field.
• Hands-on experience commanding high-severity incidents.
• Experience building or standing up incident command or major-incident management.
• Experience designing severity models, escalation frameworks, and governance.
• Ability to lead distributed teams across time zones with 24x7 rotations.
• Strong influence and stakeholder-management skills in cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

• Build and lead a dedicated Incident Operations function for critical incidents.
• Recruit, develop, and certify Incident Commanders with 24x7 follow-the-sun rotations.
• Maintain effective regional handoffs and incident command roster alignment.
• Run game days, tabletop exercises, simulations, and certification programs.
• Establish a blameless culture focused on process and system improvements.
• Own the severity model with Risk, ensuring meaningful financial/regulatory reflection.
• Define escalation paths, response thresholds, and ownership for unresolved alerts.
• Coordinate with engineering and support teams for incidents and updates.
• Lead post-incident retrospectives and track actions with SLAs.
• Develop trusted KPIs and data foundations for incident performance.
