Glanua seeks a Head of Mechanical Design to lead its global mechanical design strategy, directing multiple engineering teams to deliver innovative, sustainable and commercially viable solutions. You will set governance, advance digitalisation with BIM and AI tools, uphold safety and quality, and mentor talent while partnering with clients and delivery teams to maximise lifecycle value.

Formación

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline.
• Significant Mechanical & Piping engineering and design experience, including leadership/technical authority.
• Knowledge of mechanical equipment, piping systems, engineering standards and multidisciplinary interfaces.
• Experience across design-build, EPC or similar environments.
• Chartered Engineer or equivalent desirable.
• Experience in water/wastewater, industrial, pharmaceutical or related sectors desirable.
• Knowledge of HAZOP/HAZID, ATEX/DSEAR, pressure systems, machinery safety and BIM/digital engineering desirable.

Responsabilidades

• Act as the senior technical authority for Mechanical Design across the Glanua Group.
• Develop standards, specifications, procedures and technical assurance requirements.
• Ensure designs meet legislation, standards and client requirements.
• Provide technical direction on complex mechanical and piping issues.
• Promote standardisation, repeatable solutions, modularisation and off-site construction.
• Lead tender, concept, detailed design, procurement, construction, commissioning and handover.
• Ensure whole-life cost, operation, maintenance and safety considerations in designs.
• Drive BIM/digital engineering adoption and continuous improvement.
• Lead by example in HSE and safety.
