Job summary

Amazon Cork invites a project-based financial automation expert to join our global accounting teams. You will automate financial statements and enhance reporting processes, working with stakeholders to define requirements and shape technical solutions that improve data accuracy and accessibility.

The role emphasizes big data, BI tools such as Power BI, Python, SQL and Tableau, and building scalable controls across US GAAP and local GAAP.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, information systems, finance, or equivalent is required.
• Strong English communication skills to interact with stakeholders at all levels.
• Advanced Excel skills and experience with financial reporting.
• Significant accounting experience, preferably in a multinational or Big Four setting.
• Proven ability to manage projects against milestones.

Responsibilities

• Serve as liaison between accounting, tax, and Fintech teams to enable collaboration.
• Develop country-specific Business Requirement documents outlining scope and requirements.
• Test automated output reports against underlying records and generate exception reports.
• Collaborate with functional and system teams to assess impacts of automations and process changes.
• Drive standardization and continuous improvement of processes and controls for financial reporting and tax compliance.
• Anticipate bottlenecks, manage escalations, and balance business needs with technical constraints.
• Create and disseminate detailed project information to stakeholders.
