Job summary

Lilly UK and Ireland is seeking a Global Data Analyst to join the SAP Data Management Group. You will support Purchase To Pay master data in SAP S/4HANA and collaborate with GB centers, affiliates, sites, and outsourcing partners to ensure clean, accurate, and consistent data.

The role focuses on data governance, quality metrics, and data loading, mapping, and verification to enable process improvements and automation across the finance landscape in a multinational environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business Administration, Materials Management, Engineering, Sciences, Information Technology, or equivalent.
• 5+ years working with SAP / S4 Hana & SAP Purchase to Pay master data.
• 3+ years Lilly or industry experience in finance, supply chain, or data management.
• 2+ years of Data & Analytics and knowledge on Microsoft Fabric.

Responsibilities

• Master Data Governance: Provide cross‑functional and geographic perspectives on data governance.
• Provide leadership and suggestions for proactive data auditing and lifecycle management.
• Implement data quality metrics and help interpret any trends on data quality within their functional area / geography.
• Monitor business conformity to governance rules and policies.
• Drive the completion of assigned data auditing tasks.
• Develop consistent procedures, processes, and tools across Master Data Management.
• Protect the integrity and accuracy of data to be loaded into the SAP system.
• Articulate the impact to master data of IT design, business processes, & end user transactions.
• Leverage technology, including Microsoft Fabric, ARIA, and Claude, for process improvement and automation.
• Support a culture of Innovation and continuous improvement within the team.
• Project Implementation Partner with IT and SME resources to represent MDM and identify and resolve data and design gaps.
• Lead local contacts through Data Mapping, Discovery, and Transformation.
• Leverage technical expertise to Load and Verify master data.
• Evaluate and pilot emerging technologies, including SAP S/4HANA, MDG/DGIM, Microsoft Fabric, ARIA, and Claude, alongside broader AI/ML, APIs, and data lake capabilities.
• Apply MDM governance rules and concepts to project work.
• Support organisational priorities and transformation objectives.
• Escalate issues proactively to the Data Management Leadership or relevant Global Process Owner when broader intervention or decision‑making authority is required.
• User Education Provide coaching and detailed knowledge transfer to key business partners.
• Deliver training to educate local data analysts, business process owners, and stakeholders on data quality and data governance.
• Develop and refine global data documentation as needed: SOPs, User Guides, Job Aids, etc
• End‑User Support Provide timely expert support to GBSs, affiliates, sites, and outsourced business partners by performing manual entry and mass loads of requested data into the SAP Production environment.
• Cross‑train and share daily production support workload with other global data analysts.
• Collaborate with Business Subject Matter Experts and IT to resolve business problems.
• Analyse and provide recommendations on data governance and cleanse activities to support business process efficiencies.
