Job summary

Canon EMEA is seeking a Field Service Engineer to join our team based in Northern Ireland. The role involves international travel from time to time and working on complex semiconductor systems.

You should have a background in Mechanical / Electrical Engineering or Physics, with preferably cleanroom experience. You will work independently or as part of a team, communicating clearly with customers and colleagues, and applying problem-solving skills to keep equipment running.

Qualifications

• Background in Mechanical / Electrical Engineering or Physics.
• Experience with cleanroom environments preferred.
• Ability to troubleshoot complex semiconductor equipment.
• Strong communication skills and teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot issues on equipment.
• Perform tool maintenance, system modifications and software upgrades.
• Communicate effectively with customers, colleagues in EMEA and head office in Japan.
• Represent Canon in a positive manner at all times.
• Be proactive and propose solutions with confidence.
• Parts inventory management.
• Develop close working relationships with our customers.
• Understand the needs of customers and share that information with management.
• Thoroughly record details of work undertaken or completed.
