Job summary

Amazon Development Centre Ireland Limited is seeking a Network Development Manager for the Access Networks team in Dublin. You will lead a skilled group delivering scalable data center networks that support AWS, customers and business units worldwide.

You will drive operational excellence, network measurement and automation while mentoring engineers, coordinating hiring, and guiding strategic goals in a rapidly expanding cloud environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or above in computer science, computer engineering, or related field, or Associate’s degree or above.
• 3+ years in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related fields, or experience working directly with engineering teams.
• Experience managing people and leading a team.

Responsibilities

• Drive operational excellence in networking day-to-day tasks and projects.
• Lead and manage data center networks globally within AWS Networking.
• Recruit, mentor and develop Network Development Engineers.
• Drive incident and change management improvements to scale with expansion.
• Own goal setting and delivery for the team, aligning resources and reporting progress.
• Participate in 8x7 on-call rotation for network issues.
• Identify automation opportunities and drive software teams to implement them.
• Collaborate with internal customers to ensure high-quality network services.
