Qualifications

• 10+ years of data leadership experience.
• Strong proficiency in SQL and Python, with automation skills.
• Extensive experience with cloud data platforms (Databricks, Snowflake, Synapse) and cloud providers (AWS, Azure, GCP).
• Proven experience with Git, CI/CD pipelines, and DevOps/DataOps methodologies.
• Excellent English communication, written and verbal.
• Ability to identify and proactively solve complex data problems.

We are seeking a talented individual to join our Cyber Data Engineering team at Marsh as Global Cyber Data Lead. This role will be based in Dublin, IE. This is a hybrid role that has a requirement of working at least three days a week in the office.

We are looking for an experienced hands‑on Data Practitioner with experience to spearhead our Cyber data environment. The ideal candidate has a passion for getting things done, has worked across complex data projects with significant ramp‑up, guided and mentored data engineers, and worked directly with senior stakeholders to scope projects and ensure delivery aligned with expectations. You will mentor and guide a team of engineers, work closely with our Cyber practice leadership and the broader data organization.

We will count on you to:

• Bring your years of experience as a data professional to rapidly orient yourself and develop a plan to deliver impactful data on common Marsh infrastructure (primarily Databricks)
• Lead the design, development, and deployment of scalable data solutions supporting layered data frameworks
• Mentor a team of data engineers, fostering a culture of technical excellence, collaboration, and continuous improvement
• Collaborate closely with business teams to rapidly develop data solutions that fit evolving requirements
• Partner with central platform teams to implement features that enhance data operations efficiency and reliability
• Drive adoption of DevOps/DataOps best practices, including Git version control, pipeline‑driven deployments, and CI/CD workflows
• Stay abreast of emerging technologies and industry trends to continuously improve data engineering practices

What you need to have:

• 10+ years of data leadership experience
• Strong proficiency in SQL and Python, with advanced scripting and automation skills
• Extensive experience with cloud data platforms such as Databricks, Snowflake, Synapse, and cloud providers like AWS, Azure, or GCP
• Proven experience with Git, CI/CD pipelines, and DevOps/DataOps methodologies
• Excellent communication skills in English, both written and verbal
• Ability to identify and proactively solve complex data‑related problems
