Job summary

Sanderson in Dublin seeks a Global Category Manager for Direct Materials to lead category strategy and supplier performance across a global spend portfolio.

You will partner with product, engineering and regional procurement teams to align sourcing strategies with business objectives, roadmaps and cost targets, while shaping long-term supply strategies. This is a high-impact, permanent role with 25% travel.

Qualifications

• 12+ years in Procurement or Category Management within a multinational environment.
• Proven track record delivering global category strategies.
• Ability to negotiate and manage complex supplier agreements.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute global category strategies across international supplier networks.
• Own supplier panel strategy including consolidation, dual sourcing and risk mitigation.
• Lead strategic supplier negotiations and commercial framework agreements.
• Drive should-cost modelling, total cost of ownership analysis and value engineering.
• Collaborate with product development and engineering for new product introductions.
• Establish supplier segmentation and governance frameworks.
• Lead supplier performance management across cost, quality, delivery and innovation.
• Support responsible sourcing and supplier compliance programmes.
• Identify opportunities for supply continuity, resilience and operational improvement.
