Job summary

Clearwater Analytics seeks an Associate General Counsel – International to guide legal, compliance, and risk across its international operations. You will craft and negotiate licenses and complex agreements for global technology, software, and services, while ensuring privacy and regulatory compliance.

You will support the Chief Legal Officer in growing Clearwater’s international footprint, coordinating with regional leadership and outside counsel across jurisdictions, and training teams on

Qualifications

• LLB or JD with license to practice in at least one jurisdiction.
• Minimum 3 years post-qualification legal experience.
• Experience in international/cross-border transactional law.
• Familiarity with EU, UK, APAC regulatory environments.
• Fluency in French required.
• Ability to work across time zones and cultures.
• Strong ethics and professional demeanor.

Responsibilities

• Provide legal, compliance, and risk guidance for Clearwater’s international business, including cross-border contracts, regulatory compliance, and privacy.
• Negotiate licenses and complex commercial agreements for international technology, software, and services transactions.
• Coordinate litigation and external counsel across non-U.S. jurisdictions.
• Monitor regulatory changes and provide updates and training to the business.
• Support growth and governance of Clearwater’s international legal footprint with the Chief Legal Officer.
• Serve as legal point of contact for regional leadership outside the U.S.
• Assist in maintaining governance and regulatory compliance across international entities.
• Collaborate with internal business units to protect Clearwater across global markets.
• Provide project support on international special projects.
