Etsy in Dublin is seeking an Accountant to join the Accounting Team in Dublin. You will ensure timely and accurate financial reporting across international entities and maintain strong internal controls.

The role covers US GAAP and statutory reporting for multiple subsidiaries, month-end close, balance sheet reconciliations, and collaboration with treasury and payroll. Equity, bonus and benefits are part of the total rewards.

Qualifications

• Professional accounting qualification (ACCA/ACA/CPA/CIMA or equivalent).
• Approx. 1 year post-qualification experience in a similar environment.
• Strong financial accounting background with practical application.
• Experience with ERP systems; exposure to Workday is a distinct advantage.

What does the day-to-day look like?

• Manage day-to-day, monthly and quarterly International accounting activities.
• You will be responsible for US GAAP and statutory accounting and compliance for several international Etsy subsidiaries.
• Full ownership of US GAAP reporting: managing the month end close, Balance Sheet reconciliations & internal reporting for a number of Etsy International Entities.
• Full ownership of local Statutory compliance: management of audit & preparation of Financial Statements ensuring full compliance with local legislation.
• Perform monthly analytics for each subsidiary.
• Driving continuous improvement through standardisation, automation, process reengineering, and the thoughtful adoption of AI-enabled tools to improve efficiency, accuracy, and scalability.
• You will partner across several teams in the company including working with international business partners; SEC reporting for external reporting; the treasury team on banking and liquidity for International entities; and the internal payroll team to ensure accurate & timely completion of monthly payroll.

Qualities that will help you thrive in this role are:

• Professional Accounting qualification: ACCA, ACA, CPA, CIMA or similar.
• Approximately 1 years’ post qualification experience in a similar organisation or environment.
• Strong financial accounting background with a solid understanding of accounting principles and their practical application
• Experience working with ERP systems; exposure to Workday would be a distinct advantage.
• Highly organised and adaptable, with strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities
• Able to work independently, take ownership of tasks through to completion, and consistently meet commitments while proactively seeking support when needed.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build effective working relationships in a distributed environment.
• Detail-oriented with a proactive and continuous improvement mindset, including an interest in exploring new technologies and AI-enabled solutions to enhance ways of working.

Compensation & BenefitsIn addition to salary, you'll be eligible for an equity package, an annual performance bonus, and our competitive benefits that support you and your family. Base salary is determined by your location, skills, and experience.

LocationWe prioritise candidates based within commutable distance of Etsy’s Dublin Office. Depending on proximity, we ask team members to come in once or twice per week. Remote candidates outside commutable distance may be considered on a case‑time basis, with the expectation of occasional travel to the office.
