Job summary

WSP is seeking a Technical Director (Geochemist/Hydrogeochemist) to lead geochemical water-rock studies for metal leaching and ARD within the UK & Ireland Mine Water Team. Based in the UK or Ireland, this senior role blends technical leadership with project direction and business development across international projects.

You will direct complex multidisciplinary projects, mentor scientists, and collaborate with global teams to elevate technical excellence while fostering client relationships

Qualifications

Advanced degree in geochemistry or hydrogeochemistry (MSc/PhD).
Experience leading multi-disciplinary geochemistry projects.
Strong track record in client engagement and project delivery.

Responsibilities

Provide technical leadership on geochemical water-rock interaction studies for metal leaching and acid rock drainage.
Lead, mentor and develop Mine Water team members and support career development.
Direct project portfolio, manage proposals, cost estimates, and client relations.
