Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Practice safe methods on all tasks.
• Check equipment for safety.
• Maintain a safe, tidy place of work.
• Follow permits and briefings before commencing work.
• Undertake other reasonable tasks from the manager.

Dornan Engineering Group is a leading international engineering contractor delivering high-value projects across Europe, UK & Ireland. Based in Athlone, Co.Westmeath, this is an exciting opportunity to join our growing Dornan team as a General Operative, supporting the delivery of our Pharmaceutical project. Due to the continuous growth with Dornan Engineering, we are currently looking to recruit experienced General Operatives to join the company on exciting projects. You will join Dornan's hard working and ambitious project teams and you will benefit from a supportive culture, where your ideas and contributions will be recognised.

Your day to day will include:

• Assisting Trades
• Ensure adequate materials are available
• Uncrating and weathering equipment
• AssistanceFabrication pipework
• Assistance of Install of pipework & Bracketry
• Ensure work area is clean and tidy at all times
• GeneralHousekeeping Duties
• Moving finished assets to storage
• To load and unloaddeliveries
• Ensure have been briefed and understand all relevant risk and method statements
• Use best/safe practice onall tasks carried out
• Checks on any equipment that may use
• Ensure safe tidy place of work
• Implement best practice procedures and maximise use of own working time.
• Ensure signed up to all permits and briefings before commencing any work
• Ensure all other reasonable tasks assigned to you from time to time from your manager

About you

• General Operative with construction experience
• Experience working on construction, Industrial or Pharmaceutical projects
• Experience working on Fabrication pipework
• Experience of of Install of pipework & Bracketry
• Maintain high-level housekeeping standards on site
• Follow all site safety rules and procedures
• Excellent communication and coordination skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, milestone-driven environment
• Strong commitment to safety, quality, and teamwork
