Job summary

ArraTipp is seeking General Operatives for our Ingredients Site on Station Road, Tipperary Town. Roles across several departments include Evaporator 1 & 2, Bagging, Ingredients Kitchen, Multiskill Yard and Lactic Production.

Reporting to Production Manager, based at Station Road, Tipperary. The position involves break coverage, cleaning, basic maintenance and operating manufacturing processes in a dairy ingredients environment.

Qualifications

• 2–3 years’ experience in a similar role is desirable.
• Experience with dairy ingredients manufacturing is advantageous.
• Ability to operate computer screens and run a manufacturing process.
• Strong technical and mechanical aptitude in mechanised/automated production.
• Attention to detail with focus while monitoring panels.
• Ability to think logically and perform root cause analysis.
• Ability to multi-task.
• General PC literacy.
• HACCP, Food handling and chemical awareness knowledge.
• Self-motivated, works well without supervision.
• Team player with good communication skills.
• Strong documentation skills.
• Flexible, proactive, initiative.

Responsibilities

• Provide break cover for all plant operators across the different departments within the factory
• Maintain entrance lobbies and control rooms in different areas of the manufacturing facilities
• Clean & Sanitise yards, intake bays and externals of the factory
• Cleaning of canteen, toilets and changing areas
• Assist in drier blockages and CIP's
• Forklift duties
• Follow all relevant Cleaning Instruction Cards (CIC's) where required and abide by a 'Clean As You Go Policy' at all times
• Responsible for sorting out waste into the three different categories to ensure our company maintains our origin green status
• Carry out any reasonable management request subject to having the appropriate training and capability

• Ability to think logically and solve problems to undertake root cause analysis for issues arising from production process
• Ability to multi-task
• General PC literacy
• Hazard analysis critical control points (HACCP), Food handling and Chemical Awareness knowledge
• High motivation who works well without supervision
• Team‑worker with strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Good documentation skills
• A high level of flexibility, motivation and the ability to work on own initiative

Hours

The successful candidate will be required to work a combination of days, two cycle, three- and four-cycle rotating shifts.
