Job summary

Pure Irish Ice, Ireland's first large-scale ice producer, seeks a General Operative for our Baltinglass facility. The night shift runs 10pm to 6am, with duties across packing, cleaning, and quality checks to ensure top product standards.

Training is provided for PPT use and safety practices. Ideal candidates will be reliable, detail-focused, and able to work well in a team while handling up to 25kg and supporting overtime if required.

Qualifications

• Experience in a similar role is preferred but not essential.
• Ability to operate a Powered Pallet Truck safely (training provided).
• Strong attention to detail and teamwork.
• Physical stamina and ability to lift up to 25kg.

Responsibilities

• Keep production area clean and orderly for safety and efficiency.
• Move finished goods with a Powered Pallet Truck to storage.
• Palletise and wrap products for storage and shipment.
• Clean and maintain the packing area to ensure hygiene.
• Complete paperwork related to production and quality checks.

Role Overview:

We are seeking a reliable and motivated General Operative to join our dynamic team. This role is essential in maintaining the smooth operation of our production area and ensuring our products meet the highest quality standards.

Shift:

10pm to 6am – permanent night shift role

Key Responsibilities:

• Ensure the production area is kept clean and orderly, contributing to a safe and efficient working environment.
• Use a Powered Pallet Truck (PPT) to move finished goods to designated storage area.
• Palletise and wrap products for storage and shipment.
• Clean and maintain the packing area to ensure a hygienic and efficient workspace.
• Accurately complete all required paperwork related to production and quality checks.
• Perform quality control checks to ensure products meet our high standards.

Requirements:

• Previous experience in a similar role is preferred but not essential.
• Ability to operate a Powered Pallet Truck (PPT) safely and efficiently (training can be provided).
• Strong attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high standards.
• Good communication skills and the ability to work well within a team.
• Physical stamina and the ability to lift and move heavy objects (up to 25kg).
• Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends if needed.
