Job summary

GroundworXs is hiring a Ground Worker for construction sites across Dublin. This full-time, on-site role requires safety training and a valid Safepass; 1–2 years of experience is preferred. Duties include drainage, kerbing, paving, and operating plant machinery for excavation.

Local transport advantageous; may arrange lift for those in Kildare. Pay ranges from €17.28 to €21.37 per hour, depending on experience and qualifications.

Qualifications

• Dumper ticket (advantageous).
• Own transport (advantageous for site access).
• 1–2 years of construction site experience.

Responsibilities

• Drainage, concrete, kerbing and flagging tasks.
• Set up and take down the site before and after works.
• Operate plant machinery for excavation or earthmoving.
• Follow drawings and technical specifications.
• Prepare ground and foundations for other works.
• Dig trenches and connect pipework to existing systems.
• Maintain health and safety procedures on site.

Role Overview

Drainage, Concrete, Kerbing and Flagging. Setting up and taking down the construction site before and after works. Operating plant machinery to perform excavation or earthmoving tasks. Setting up site including barriers, safety signage and huts/small work buildings. Using equipment and tools effectively to perform construction tasks. Removing and installing drainage and pipework systems. Laying pavements, kerbs and driveways. Interpreting drawings and technical specifications. Following technical specifications and plans to perform Groundwork tasks. Preparing the ground and foundations in preparation for other construction work to begin. Digging trenches and moving ground. Working with waterways and connecting pipework to existing pipework. Following relevant health and safety procedures and risk management. Operating plant machinery and vehicles such as 360 Excavators and Forward Tipping Dumpers. Good problem solving skills.

Pay

Pay: €17.28-€21.37 per hour
