Job summary

Electric Skyline Limited in Ireland is seeking a Civils General Operative / Groundworker to support civil engineering projects on construction sites. Reporting to the Project Manager, you will assist with excavation, trenching, ducting, backfilling, and drainage works.

The role emphasizes safety, teamwork and the ability to operate manual tools and small machinery under supervision. A valid Irish Category B driving license is required.

Qualifications

• Experience in civil engineering, construction, or related field.
• Basic knowledge of groundworks, drainage, concrete.
• Ability to operate manual tools safely.
• Understanding of construction site health and safety regulations.

Responsibilities

• Assist with excavation, trenching, ducting and backfilling for foundations, utilities, roads and drainage systems.
• Support the laying of drainage pipes, ducts, and manholes.
• Chamber install and reinstatement.
• Excavation around live services.
• Handle and prepare materials such as concrete, asphalt, aggregate and other resources.
• Dig, level and compact ground to prepare sites for construction or roadworks.
