Job summary

BAM UK & Ireland is seeking a General Foreperson for a Civils project in Cork. You will lead on-site activities, drive production, and coordinate subcontractors to meet project targets and quality standards.

Ideal candidates will have extensive foreperson experience, strong time management, and excellent communication skills. The role offers a competitive salary, pension, health benefits, and development opportunities on Ireland's largest construction projects.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience as construction site foreman/foreperson on medium to large-scale projects.
• Strong time management skills and ability to drive outputs on site.
• Excellent verbal and written communication and presentation skills.
• Deep understanding of on-site construction processes and health & safety standards.
• Fluent English and eligibility to work in Ireland.

Responsibilities

• Implement Daily and Weekly Programmes and coordinate with subcontractors.
• Attend weekly management meetings with client team.
• Maintain site diary and monitor manpower and subcontractor activity.
• Oversee day-to-day site operations and drive production to meet targets.
• Coordinate subcontractors and manage site workflow to align with programme.

We are looking for a General Foreperson to join our new Civils project in Cork.

Making Possible

• Implementation of Daily and Weekly Programmes together with the issue of programme detail to sub-contractors.
• Attending weekly Management Team meeting for clients Construction Team.
• Maintaining the Site Diary - recording manpower levels for each sub-contractor and keeping detailed notes of all site activities.
• Responsible for the day to day managing of the site.
• Maintain a constant drive to achieve production outputs in order to meet targets while maintaining quality standards.
• Help manage project in line with the agreed production targets.
• Manage the workflow of sub-contractors ensuring they're in line with the programme of works on site.
• Assisting with the control of equipment on site.
• Co-ordinating and managing of subcontractors.
• Ability to motivate Labourers and sub-contractors.
• Provide clear leadership and direction to the site team while maintaining a professional manner is essential.

What do you bring to the role?

• Extensive experience in the role of construction site foreman / foreperson on medium to large scale construction projects.
• Strong time management skills.
• Must have excellent verbal and written communication and presentation skills.
• Strong understanding of the construction industry and working on site.
• Ability to use time productively, maximize efficiency and meet challenging work goals.
• Must have fluent English and be eligible to work in Ireland.
