Job summary

BAM UK & Ireland is recruiting a Civils Project Manager to join our team in Wexford. You will lead all aspects of the project, ensuring safety, quality and timely delivery while coordinating multi‑discipline teams and sub‑contractors on major civil and FM works.

The role requires a degree in engineering and proven PM experience in civil contracting, with knowledge of bridge construction and contract forms. Rail experience is a plus, and a strong focus on HSQE and client satisfaction is essential.

Qualifications

• Degree in engineering or equivalent is required.
• PM experience in civil contracting is essential.
• Demonstrated leadership and management capabilities.
• Knowledge of bridge construction and civil contracts is preferred.
• Rail experience is advantageous.
• Experience delivering large civil projects with teams.

• Ensure realistic programmes are prepared, managed, monitored, reviewed, and updated according to the requirements of the project and contract.
• Ensure processes are in place for the preparation, review and briefing of method statements, activity plans and risk assessments and measures implemented to ensure they are reviewed and updated accordingly.
• Ensure systems are in place for the successful commercial and financial management of the project.
• Ensure all necessary site-based appointments are made with suitably trained and experienced staff.

What do you bring to the role?

• Degree, HND in Engineering or equivalent.
• Experience working as PM or Senior Agent within Civil Engineering contracting is essential.
• Must be able to demonstrate leadership and management capabilities commensurate with such a role.
• Knowledge of bridge construction.
• Rail experience is preferred.
• Detailed working knowledge of the civil construction environment and forms of contract used.
• Experience working in construction project delivery and managing large construction teams.
